Perform the maintenance for both AC systems, confirm that both sets of filters are clean as they were replaced in the fall. Confirm that both humidifiers were turned off and shut off the water supply for the second floor humidifier. Installed all of my wireless probes and started up both systems, allowed both units to run and confirm that both zones for each system is operating. Both units are working and operating properly at this time, the upstairs unit may be slightly low on refrigerant, however due to the cooler temperature outside and low heat load inside I do not want to charge it at this time. If on a warmer day the machine is not cooling properly we may need to return to add some refrigerant.
Performed the heating maintenance for both furnaces, replaced both of the 20x25x4 filters. Serviced the humidifier for the second / third floor furnace, start it up both furnaces and checked operation of all safety controls. Checked all wiring connections, checked the operation of the combustion blower motors. Check the heat exchangers and cleaned the flame sensors. Both furnaces are operating properly. I set the humidistat at 45% humidity to allow it to provide as much humidity as possible to the upstairs area. At some point we may want to look into adding a new humidifier for the basement furnace to help increase the humidity level in the winter.
